Kashi Education Foundation is formed in Varanasi, India
As part of the Kashi Initiative for Global Citizenship and Education, we are excited to announce the formation of the Kashi Education Foundation in Varanasi, India by Chandramohini Chaturvedi, Ph.D. of Banaras Hindu University in Varanasi and Amrita Chaturvedi, Ph.D. of Saint Louis University in St. Louis, MO, USA.
The Kashi Education Foundation’s purpose is to…
- Encourage education by opening, maintaining, running and/or assisting educational institutions, and training centers as well as aiding any student pursuing studies by giving scholarships, loans, and other financial assistance.
- Encourage research and development projects from other educational institutions and NGOs within and outside India.
- Promote literacy, cultural, and other social activities through awareness events, public lectures, workshops, seminars, conferences, and other cultural programs.
The first act of the Kashi Education Foundation is to build and support the Kashi School in Varanasi. This work includes…
